    Agnes

Agnes is based on a thought of how to find and create calm and immersion in our daily lives, and how this mindset can manifest through a piece of furniture. Furniture can be seen as identity-creating objects, and our interior design impacts our being and actions.

Agnes tells a story of presence through its physical groundedness, construction, and use of materials. The simple construction in douglas fir is assembled without glue, and the evident traces of handwork lend the cushions a physical tactility, emphasized by the sensory qualities of eelgrass, where scent, sound, and sensation become central. The material responds to the body.
In our current dynamic and changing lives, sustainable furniture should be able to support us. The sofa can easily transform into an extra sleeping space, thus accommodating changing needs and circumstances, allowing for a longer lifespan of the object.

The furniture has been exhibited at:
360 Furniture Object, 3 Days of Design, 2022
Getting There Gradually, Tableau / Adorno, 2022
    Finders Keepers, 2022
